Vitamins and Supplements for Beard Growth

Since starting up in this industry, 2 questions that regularly come up are “Are there ways I can increase beard growth?” and “Do your oils help promote beard growth?” Luckily for these inquisitive, future bearded badasses, the answer to both questions is a resounding YES!

Beard Growth

Beard growth is a natural process and, like all other processes within your body, it will be largely affected by your overall health (ie. nutrition and fitness). Not too say a fat dude can’t grow a wicked beard or demolishing an entire tray of nachos by yourself will stop beard growth, but if you’re having a tough time… lifting something other than the TV remote and eating a few carrot sticks from time to time could help out.

Unfortunately salads do not taste anything like bacon and hamburgers (trust me, I ate a salad once). Burger, bacon, chili, nachos and Taco Bell’s Crunch Wrap Supreme are low on the nutritional scale.

Your beard needs proper nutrients to grow. Luckily you can supplement with vitamins!

Vitamin B5

Vitamin B5 is a good place to start. This vitamin helps prevent hair loss and greying. If you’re going the food route, try eating plenty of egg yolks and liver.

Vitamin C

Yeah, the same crap your mom would pump you full of when you sniffled in front of her. Vitamin C promotes beard growth, though, so it’s best not to skip out on this one. Unfortunately this is found in fruits and green vegetables so maybe just make sure you’re topping that double patty burger with a decent amount of lettuce and tomatoes.

Vitamin E

This is essential to beard growth. In addition to eating anything with vitamin E, most beard oils contain a decent amount. Avocado oil is a good carrier oil for bringing the E. Lucky for you all of our beard oils contain plenty of it!

Biotin

Biotin is also known as vitamin H. This stuff helps with beard growth and is found in brewer’s yeast… just sayin’.

Protein

Your hair is mostly protein so it should stand to reason that your diet should contain a good amount of protein. Since you’re a badass who lifts regularly and demolishes steaks, this shouldn’t be a problem for you. Just make sure your protein intake is up and you should be good.
